Natalia Sidorina, deputy director of the Second School Centre, took part in the 17th international tourism exhibition, Intourmarket 2022, held from 12 to 14 March.
➡️ Every year, Intourmarket brings together representatives from all regions of Russia to exchange useful information on creating and developing regional points of attraction. "Intourmarket has become an excellent opportunity for new business contacts and introductions through thematic discussions.
❄️ Particular attention was paid to the development of the Arctic during the panel discussion "The Far East and the Arctic: new opportunities for travel. Summer 2022". Representatives of the tourism industry, industry associations and development institutions discussed new offers and destinations for travellers, as well as additional measures to support citizens and businesses in creating sustainable demand.
👩💻 The moderator of the panel discussion, Maria Badmatsyrenova (Deputy Director of the Law Enforcement Monitoring Department of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation JSC, member of the Tourism Expert Council of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy), highlighted new programmes and mechanisms for tourism development in the Arctic and the Far East.
In particular, M. Badmatsirenova presented the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry", and the state programme "Tourist Cashback" to provide a subsidy to travellers of up to 20% of the cost of travel in Russia.
The Murmansk region was also represented at the 17th International Tourism Exhibition "Intourmarket-2022" by Lapland State Nature Biosphere Reserve, Murmansk Region Tourist Information Centre, Murmansk Region Cluster Development Centre, Murmansk Region Tourism Committee, Monchegorsk Development Agency and representatives of tourism and hospitality business.
